12/7/2023 0 Comments Harrison mixbus v4 fixes![]() ![]() ![]() Mixbus now shows a "Created With" column in the Recent Sessions list at startup: this helps users who have both Mixbus and Mixbus32C avoid opening the session in the wrong version, by accident. This allows smoother fader movements when the system is busy. Increased the thread-priority of control surface "touch" automation. You'll find these new options in Preferences->Editor. User-configurable limits on zoom scale and playhead-scrolling speed: These limits help to prevent users from zooming very far out, and losing their place in the session.Right-click on the summary view to reset it to show only the "session extents".It operates more like a regular scrollbar. By popular demand, the summary view has been limited so it cannot be dragged to the right beyond the session extents, and it cannot be stretched beyond the right edge. This improves the workflow for those users who use DAW-style bussing: connecting track outputs to other track(bus) inputs. This allows the "direct out" of a track to follow the main panner. Track direct-outs are now post-panner, as shown in the signal-flow diagram. ![]() And you can export your templates for a friend to use, or import their templates for your use. You can add, remove, and rename your templates. The "Template Manager" window allows you to manage your session and track templates. Like session templates, the new track templates can have a scripted element that prompts you for additional input before adding the new tracks.Īdvanced users can write their own Lua scripts which can add plugins, change settings, assign routing & groups & VCAs. It is now much faster to add a mix of tracks without closing & re-opening the dialog. But you can also create a Lua Script that prompts the user for more information and then creates, or edits, the tracks that you need for your session. Track templates can be created by right-clicking on a mixer strip and choosing "save as template". Like the "New Session" dialog, there's a description for each selection, and your templates appear in the same list so you can access them more easily. The "New Track" dialog has been redesigned to provide direct access to your track templates as well as some new factory presets. Improved "New Track" dialog, with scriptable templates Once you've selected a template, an included script can prompt you for further input to accelerate the new session process. When creating a new session, you may select from a list of your session templates directly from a list, while viewing a description of the selected template. This feature works for the included General MIDI Synth and a-Fluid Synth soundfont players, as well as external MIDI synthesizers which have a patch map file. The new patch selector allows point&click access to 128 patches, and it can automatically audition your synth's sound when you click a new preset. Mixbus customers should have already received an email with the 4.2 links if not, please write our support email at: "Patch Selector" dialog for multitimbral MIDI synths Mixbus and Mixbus32C users may download a FREE v4.2 update! ![]()
